Policy & Governance Support Volunteer
The Opportunity
We are looking for someone with the desire to gain experience in policy and governance in the not-for-profit sector.
Reporting to the Executive Director you will be responsible for assisting with governance and policy document writing and research.
Through your role, you will work closely with the Legal and HR Advisor, which will give you the opportunity to build on your skills and be a part of contributing to shaping policies, procedures and guidelines for our organisation.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to
-Draft Good Neighbors Australia’s governance and policies under the guidance of our Legal Advisor and HR Advisor
-Draft required documents under the guidance of Executive Director
-Assist in promoting legal, compliance and risk management best practices throughout our work with our Global Partners
-Help keep the business up-to-date with changes to legislation and regulation, particularly in relation to the not-for-profit sector
Desirable Qualification
-Law student who can write documents in legal terms
-Someone with experience or interest in designing, who can create a range of company resources in line with our branding guidelines template.
Time Commitment
1-2 days a week with flexible work arrangements
Young Good Neighbors Committee
The Opportunity
Young Good Neighbors (YGN) is a committee of dynamic, driven and well-networked young professionals with a shared passion for supporting kids suffering from poverty.
The committee is made up of young professionals aged 18 - 35, who volunteer their time to raise awareness, engagement and funds among their own networks in the NSW community to support Good Neighbors Australia.
Whether you aspire to be a future change maker, not-for-profit Board member, or want to network with like-minded young professionals, YGN provides experience and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Are you a young professional aged 18 - 35?
Have you always wanted to be a part of something great helping kids in need?
Have fun and get involved by joining our committee to raise funds and awareness about the work we do at Good Neighbors Australia.
Help us organise and market our next event where you invite friends to come and hear about our mission and have fun at the same time.
The volunteers will be part of the Event Committee, that will be in charge of the planning and running of the fundraising event. Ideally the group would have a mixed skillset and social/professional network to invite on the night of the event.
Time Commitment
We’re looking for volunteers who are happy to commit to meetings after work twice a month for a 4-month period.
